Storytelling is a powerful tool that touches on many areas of life and work. It helps us connect with others, learn new things, and share valuable experiences. It plays a key role in shaping both personal and group identities, and it can even influence decisions and leadership.
Understanding the power of stories is especially beneficial for young people. Traditional ways of learning history can sometimes feel disconnected from today's world. Storytelling brings these lessons to life, making them more engaging and relatable. It encourages young people to be curious, making learning a more interactive and enjoyable experience. This approach helps them understand the past better, which in turn, helps them make sense of the present and future.
Since the beginning of time, humans have connected and learned about the world through stories—from myths and legends to folklore tales. Stories shape our understanding and bring us closer together.
We want to create a vibrant intercultural space where young people from Romania, Greece, Cyprus, and Spain can exchange their rich myths, legends, and folklore. This will help them gain a deeper appreciation of each other’s cultures during their time together.
We will encourage our young participants to use their creativity in storytelling not just to share their experiences from the project, but also to spread the word about the opportunities available through Erasmus+.
Through storytelling, we aim to increase cultural and social awareness in local communities. Our goal is to help build a more connected and united Europe by sharing our diverse stories and perspectives
This initial stage focuses on developing team cohesion and familiarizing everyone with one another. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Youth Exchange and the Erasmus+ programme, with additional sessions dedicated to ensuring everyone's safety through risk prevention strategies.
Participants will delve into both theoretical and practical aspects of storytelling. This includes learning various storytelling techniques and methods to captivate audiences. They'll engage in creative exercises like simulations and role-playing activities, guided by insights from storytelling experts.
The final phase concentrates on effectively sharing the project outcomes. Participants will creatively brainstorm dissemination strategies, conduct a final evaluation of all activities, and celebrate their journey by receiving their Youthpass certification.
